For my Parody I chose the song “Overdue By Russ”. I chose this song because it used to be my favorite song and it brought back many memories when I recreated it into my own version. I always wanted to make my own song/parody because I think it is really cool making music and seeing other people recreate a song sounds really cool.
My biggest Inspiration was seeing other people recreate a popular song in their own way and some people try to make it funny. I thought it was really cool and funny and I always wanted to try and make a song. Something that makes my production a good parody is hard work. I tried my best to make it sound good even tho It’s a parody. It was really cool using pro tools. I felt like a music producer.
I am proud of my pro tools skills getting better each time I use it. I think that learning how to edit, mix, and incorporate music is awesome and you feel like you are a music producer, that feeling is really cool. This kind of editing is different from visual editing because in visual editing you are supposed to edit what you see and in music making editing you edit what you hear.
